Bar code scanning is the most efficient way to enter data into a computer. If the data to be entered is bar coded, using a laser scanner is 50 times faster and 10,000 times more accurate than manual data entry. The CHS offers either Class 1 or Class 2 laser scanners with fuzzy logic, a technology that enables the reading of damaged or poorly printed bar codes. The CHS with Class 2 laser should be used for more demanding applications, such as scanning outdoors or through Mylar or glass. The Cordless Hand Scanner complies with the UCC 2005 Sunrise Date mandate.
